I know we are quickly approaching the end of the first quarter of 2024, and you might think I’m crazy for posting an annual planning post right now. But let me challenge your belief there for a second. Who said annual planning has to be done on January 1st? The point is that having a plan or direction, even if mapped out later in the year, is better than not having any direction at all.
Annual planning doesn’t have to consist of rigid projects or financial goals set in stone. It can be an overview of what you want to achieve and how you want to feel, especially surrounding money.
As we approach the month of March, we are entering into a new physical season, and it’s a good time to turn inward and check in with ourselves on how this year has played out so far. In this blog post, we’ll dive into planning your year around the seasons and tap into the seasonal energy to create more ease and fulfillment in your year.
The winter season invites us to slow down, introspect, and cultivate trust in ourselves and the universe/source/god/angels. This is a time for building trust with our own intuition and inner guidance, allowing clarity to emerge.
In terms of our finances, it’s crucial to take time and space to heal any money stories or traumas that have been holding us back. This takes time, and it’s not easy. There will be layers and layers to peel back, which is why it’s okay if you feel you need a month or quarter to really dive into what is blocking you… Give yourself permission, space, and time to let this all unwind so that you can leave these beliefs, patterns, and stories in your past.
By coming to terms with the idea that rest is productive, we can shift our mindset around the need to always be doing more in order to receive. Use this time to get comfortable with rest and create space for healing and self-reflection.
Where to focus this season:
1. Building Trust With Your Intuition
2. Healing Your Money Stories & Trauma
3. Refraiming Rest & Dismantling the belief of ‘I have to do more in order to receive more’

Just as nature awakens and blooms in the spring, this season symbolizes a time of new beginnings… Embrace the mindset of a student, always be open to learning and growing.
Focus on building a strong foundation by taking messy action, accepting failures as growth opportunities, and releasing the need to prove yourself.
Plant seeds of intention and trust that they will grow into abundance in due time. This is a season of embodying and creating, where the potential for growth is unlimited.
Where to focus this season:
1. Falling in love with your journey:
2. Being a Student
3. Building Foundations
Summer is a season of flow, abundance, and enjoyment. As the seeds that were planted in spring begin to bloom, it’s time to lean into the journey and find pleasure in the progress made.
Embrace consistency in your financial habits and connect with the abundance you have created. Claim your space and speak your desires into existence, trusting that the universe will respond.
Use this time to clean up any low-vibe habits and focus on what truly aligns with your values and goals. Focus on attracting rather than chasing.
Where to focus this season:
1. Finding pleasure in the journey:
2. Getting into flow with what you’ve built in spring:
3. Trusting that all is falling into place:
As the days grow shorter and nature starts to shed its leaves, fall is a season of refinement and focus. Slow down and assess your progress. Harvest and enjoy the fruits of your labor, both financially and personally.
It’s also a time to shed what no longer feels aligned, just like trees drop their leaves. Burn away anything that no longer serves you and define your boundaries by understanding your “no’s” and what you say “yes” to.
Tie up loose ends, finish old projects, and create space for rest and rejuvenation in preparation for the upcoming winter and spring.
Where to focus this season:
1. Slowing Down & Finding Focus:
2. Harvesting what you’ve built for yourself:
3. Shedding What No Longer Feels Aligned:
By planning your year around the seasons, you allow yourself to flow with the natural rhythm of life. Each season offers unique growth, healing, abundance, and refinement opportunities.
Aligning your goals and actions with the energy of each season will not only bring clarity to your journey but also lead to a more fulfilling and harmonious relationship with money.
